Below you will find details of the enrolment process for training as a private or recreational pilot at CANAVIA.

Please read it carefully and follow the steps as indicated.

We recommend that you contact us before you start the first step so that we can advise you and help you decide which training is best for you, as well as support and guide you through the enrolment process.

STEP 1 - Application form

Fill in the online registration form and contact us.

STEP 2 – English, Maths, Physics and Cognitive Assessments

We will give you access to a short online course that you will need to complete successfully in order to start the training.

We will test your knowledge of basic Mathematics and Physics.

We will also assess your level of the language in which you will be training, through an informal conversation.

STEP 3 – Aeronautical Medical Certificate

Obtaining the Class 2 Aeronautical Medical Certificate (or Class LAPL in the case of LAPL training) is a prerequisite for access to training, in order to ensure that the applicant is within the parameters of normality required by the aviation authority and to ensure that he/she will be able to obtain the licence at the end of the training.

You can take the medical examination at any accredited aeronautical medical centre (AMC).

The medical examinations will assess your general physical and mental condition.

If you intend to undertake professional pilot training in the future, we recommend that you take the Class 1 medical examination from the start to ensure that you are fit.

STEP 4 – Training contract and enrolment fee

Once you have passed the entry tests and obtained your medical certificate, we will prepare your training contract for you to review, sign and pay the enrolment fee for the desired course.

You can see a sample contract below.

STEP 5 - Welcome on board

We will contact you to prepare the start of the course.
