About us

How we started

CANAVIA is an aviation school located in the Canary Islands, whose beginnings took place in 2009. We started our activity as a pilot school and professional career giving classes and teaching the private pilot course (PPL) under the old JAR-FCL regulations, as well as other courses not regulated at that time.

We were the first Spanish aviation school to receive accreditation from the Spanish Aviation Safety Agency (AESA) as an E-ATO-172 approved teaching organisation under the European EASA regulations in 2013.

We are the only aviation school in the Canary Islands that offers all courses, certifications and ratings related to professional aviation, being approved by the Ministry of Development under the European EASA regulations (face to face or distance mode).

In these more than fourteen years of experience, our school has qualified hundreds of students who are already flying in major airlines around the world, or carrying out their professional activity in business aviation or other sectors of commercial aviation.

Present

We are committed to excellence in training.

Year after year we invest in the latest technology resources so that our students can achieve their dream in the shortest possible time and with all the guarantees of success.

Our team is made up of more than 30 people, including theory and flight instructors with extensive experience in training and thousands of hours of flight time under their belts, many of them active in different airlines.
