The Part-CAO provides a new set of requirements for Combined Airworthiness Organisations. Such organisations may perform CAMO activities, maintenance organisation activities, or both, but are limited to non-complex aircraft that are not used by an air carrier licensed to operate.
On 17 March CANAVIA received the approval of the as a combined airworthiness organisation in compliance with Section A of Annex Vd (Part-CAO) to Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014. With this new achievement we are able to perform maintenance on any ML part aircraft (up to 2,730kg) single-engine piston aircraft. Thanks to this breakthrough we have gained time by being able to perform in-house and third party maintenance more efficiently.
